Location: Granville Harbour, Tasmania.
Granville Harbour wind farm is a 31-turbine facility near Granville Harbour in the northwest section of Tasmania. The turbines are positioned about 200 meters above ground and the area is exposed to strong winds from the west. This facility is capable of producing enough power for about 46,000 homes.
We were appointed to manage the marine risk on this project for the wind farm equipment’s that needed to be transported from the premises of various manufacturers in South East Asia to Granville Harbour, Tasmania.
Marine loss control activities were carried out in ensuring the safe delivery of shipments to the construction site. Our involvement extended from the manufacturers’ premises to the construction site using our own local and international Marine warranty surveyors.
